Short Bio

Junior assistant professor (fixed-term) in Christian and Medieval Archaeology (L-ANT/08) at the University of Bologna, Department of History and Cultures. National Scientific Qualification as an Associate Professor (ASN 2022), scientific sector 10/A1, archaeology (2022-2033).

Research fellow at the Gerda Henkel Foundation (2021-2023) and research fellow at DISCI UNIBO (2014-2020).

Her research interests focus on late antique and early Byzantine archaeology, especially on the topic of the ancient building sites, the cultic topography of the eastern Mediterranean, architectural installations, quarries and marbles in antiquity, the activity and mobility of craftsmen, material culture.

Great attention in her research is payed to the digital cultural heritage, with a particular emphasis on digital archives and collections. She has participated and is involved in numerous national and international research projects (see CV).

She is a member of the archaeological missions at Mitropolis (Crete), Piazza Armerina and Chiaramonte Gulfi.
