Associate professor at Bologna University from 2001, he is a member of the Physics and Astronomy Department and Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca Industriale Meccanica Avanzata e Materiali (CIRI MAM). His working activity is mainly concerned with technology transfer and applied research on the mechanical properties of materials. He has been scientific responsible in several contracts with industries such as SACMI, CNI-MUSA, Calf, Macchiavelli, SILEA, B&Cspeakers, Petroncini, CyTech. He is author of scientific articles regarding high temperature superconductors and the mechanical properties of metals and alloys. He is also inventor in several patents.
