Description:: The collaboration developed within the project "Valorisation of Heritage and Citizenship Education", a cooperation between the Unesco-Site of Dakar and the University of Bologna, supported by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation of Dakar (AICS), that involved the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, the Université "Gaston Berger" of Saint Louis and the Université Cheik Anta Diop of Dakar, in Senegal. The project, carried out in 2019, envisaged an academic exchange between teachers and students of the partner universities, in order to enhance mutual knowledge, inter-university dialogue and training on the role of cultural heritage as a tool for territorial and tourist promotion and valorization, but also for citizenship education. Since then several mobilities have been carried out in both countries aimed at enanching the academic cooperation.

Description:: The collaboration has been established with Prof. Clàudio Jorge Moura de Castilho and in 2017 it was formalised in a project financed by Fondazione Fibra, aimed at the realization of a Joint-Lab on the issue "Territories, sustainability, University", to promote common initiatives between the partners and with NGOs and territorial stakeholders, both in Italy and Brazil.

Description:: The collaboration has been developed with the Master in African Studies (http://www.du.se/ducas), for whose studies several lectures and seminars have been carried out since 2010, on issues concerning African tourist development and on the heritage and the memory of the slave trade in Africa. The collaboration has also brough some colleagues of Dalarna University visit Bologna and give lectures to the students of the Course Geography of Development.
