PhD in Chemistry at University of Bologna in 2011 (fluorescent labels and sensors based on dye-doped nanoparticles, supervisor prof. Luca Prodi).

Two grants for research stays in Ecole Normale Superieure (France,2007) and in Harvard University (USA, 2009). Awarded the ENI prize for “Debut in Research” (2013).

Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, with prof. Luisa De Cola, 2013-2015).

Tenure-track for associate professorship (RTD-b) in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry “G. Ciamician” in Università di Bologna (2019-2022).

My research spans interdisciplinary fields such as colloids physics and surface chemistry, self-assembling systems, and nanostructured photoactive materials for optoelectronics, sensing, and nanomedicine.
