Cristiana Bragalli

Cristiana Bragalli is currently Associate Professor of Hydraulic Engineering at University of Bologna. She received a Master Degree in Civil Engineering  from University of Bologna in 1997. In 1999, she enrolled a Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan. After completing her Ph.D. in 2001, she performed research at the University of Exeter, UK.

She focuses on the area of pressurized water distribution and irrigation systems, including application of optimization algorithms, district meter areas, reduction of water losses, water and energy efficiency, smart technologies, technical quality indicators. She is co-author of more than 20 papers indexed on Scopus, also Editor of IWA Water Supply.

Currently she teaches Water distribution network, Hydropower and Advanced Hydrosystem Engineering of the Masters of Science in Civil Engineering at University of Bologna. She has been Supervisor or Co-Supervisor of over 80 Degree thesis and two PhD Thesis in Hydraulic Engineering.
