Short Bio

After a Laurea degree in Physics from Rome University "La Sapienza" in 1986, I earned a PhD in Physics from Genoa University in 1990.

Assistant Professor at Genoa University since 1993, I moved to Bologna University in 2015.

My main topic of research are the properties of hadronic states containing heavy quarks (b and c), including bound states of heavy quarks and antiquarks, b-bbar and c-cbar, also known as bottomonium and charmonium states.

I participate to the experiments LHCb(CERN, Svizzera) and BaBar (SLAC, USA).

In the past I participated to the experiments E835 (FNAL, USA), E760 (FNAL, USA) and NA27(CERN, Svizzera)

I am a member of the Particle Data Group which publishes the biennial Review of Particle Physics (RPP); I am the first author of the 2016 RPP edition

A regularly updated list of my publications is available at  http://www.researcherid.com/rid/C-5223-2009. Go to the Curriculum vitae
