Curriculum vitae

He carries out his research activity in the field of health psychology and medicine, with particular attention to placebo and nocebo effects in dermatological treatments, analyzed through methodologies based on large-scale data (big data-driven). His work focuses on the integration of experimental psychological approaches and computational analysis to understand the psychobiological mechanisms that influence the perception and effectiveness of medical treatments.

 

Formation

He received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Tilburg University (2020–2023), with an average of 7.97, including an academic exchange period at McMaster University (Canada).
He continued his studies with a Master's Degree specializing in Health and Medical Psychology at Leiden University (2024–2025), which he completed with an average of 8.0 (laude).
He is currently a PhD Fellow in Psychology at the University of Bologna.

Academic career

She worked as a mathematics and English tutor at Schuelerhilfe, Cologne (2019–2020).
She was Research Intern at the CoRPS – Tilburg University research group (2022–2023), where she collaborated on a systematic review on eHealth-supported behavioral change techniques.
Subsequently, he worked as a Research Assistant at CoRPS – Tilburg University (2024–2025), participating in experimental studies on placebo and nocebo effects and dealing with data collection, statistical analysis and preparation of scientific publications.

Scientific activity

Co-author of an abstract presented at the 5th International Conference of the Society for Interdisciplinary Placebo Studies (2025).
First author of the article "Expectation Shapes Hunger and Craving: Placebo Effects of Verbal Suggestion on Food-Related Experiences".

Extracurricular activities

She participated in the PANACEA Summer School at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2024).
She was Chairman of the Internationalization Focus Group of the COMPLEX psychology student association.
Member of the ALUMNI Association of Psychology AXON.
He has been a mentor for two consecutive years in the TOP and IDEA programs.
She also participated as a volunteer in the European GAIA program dedicated to wellness education.
