RESEARCH OF LEGAL SOURCES AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTING AND EDITING A SCIENTIFIC TEXT
Course objectives
In the interactive seminar, a method of drafting and editing a scientific text will be provided. The seminar aims at:
- Delivering to the students the main guidelines for the writing process, structure and style of a scientific paper
- Training students to gradually develop a systematic knowledge of the legal sources and provide them with a knowledge about how to use them in editing a scientific text
- Enabling students to efficiently develop a research question, as well as organizing the structure of a systematic scientific legal paper or final thesis.
Topics
The seminar will be covering problems from the following fields:
- Research process and methods
- Scientific writing and citing techniques
- Use of some legal database
- Discussion of research paper
Students are encouraged to engage in discussions as well as class excercise in order to deepen the course content and to transfer the acquired theories and methods. It will possible to submit a draft – or part of your manuscript, in any stage - for discussion and feedback.
Evaluation will be based on active participation to the seminar.
