ALR (OFA) test
Dear Students,
before an upcoming test please take a look at the following material
Also, please read the following instructions carefully.
1. General Instructions

Registration: it is important that you register for the test at least four days in advance on the university's "Alma Esami" portal;

Location: Assemble in the computer lab by 2:30 PM for identification.

Identification: Bring a valid physical ID (passport, ID card, or student badge). Hard copies, digital copies or pictures of ID documents will not be accepted.

Restroom Breaks: Once the test begins, you cannot leave the room and return to continue. Visit the restroom beforehand if needed.

Prohibited Items: Any device or material that could be used for cheating is forbidden, including (but not limited to) phones, smartwatches, calculators, earbuds, lecture notes, cheat sheets, and books. All electronic devices must be switched off and stored away. Blank paper will be provided by the university.

Compliance: Students failing to comply with these general rules will be asked to leave the premises, and their test will be voided.
2. Logging In and Starting the Test

Log in to the computer using your credentials.

Start a browser (Google Chrome is recommended).

Navigate to eol.unibo.it and log in.
-
Set the system language to English via the menu in the top-right corner.
-
Click on "appelli di Giovanni Dore" and then on "test ALR BCE".
-
Enter the password provided to you at the beginning of the test.

Start the test.
Submitting Your Answers:
-
Use the test navigation panel to jump to Question 20. (you might need to expand the panel if it’s collapsed).

Click the blue “End test” button. This does not submit your attempt—you will complete the submission on the next page by clicking “Submit.”

On the next page, the blue “Submit” button is usually below the visible area. Scroll to the very bottom of the page to reveal it, then click “Submit.”

A confirmation dialog will show the number of unanswered questions (if any). Click “Confirm” to finalize your submission.

Wait for the submission confirmation page/message before closing the test window.
3. Test Details and Results

Test Format: The test contains 20 questions to be answered in 2 hours.

Scoring System: please note that incorrect answers lower your score
-
+1 for each correct answer
-
0 for each unanswered question
-
–0.25 for each incorrect answer

Passing score: You must score at least 8 out of 20 to pass. Any score below 8 does not pass.

Grading: The process is fully automated; I do not manually grade submissions or adjust scores
-
Results: Usually posted on the student portal the same day, or shortly after.
