Scientific Research: production and bibliometric indicators

Research has been focused on the fields of drug delivery/targeting and nanomedicine, microparticulate system for inhalation and tissue engineering. I have been working on the development of lipid nanoparticles for targeted brain drug delivery, pancreatic cell encapsulation and transplantation for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, and the development of inhalable dry powders for the treatment of resistant tuberculosis.

Paolo is co-author of 70 scientific full-length articles published in international peer-reviewed journals, 1 international and 2 Italian patents and one book chapter, more than 20 oral communications and about 80 abstracts and/or proceedings at national and international meetings. Paolo Blasi delivered more than 10 invited lectures in Academia and private Companies.

The 67 publications present on Scopus have been cited 2846 times, generating an H-index of 28 (data from Scopus).
