Nota biografica

Mirek Tobiáš Hošman is pursuing a dual Ph.D. program in International Relations and Modern History at the University of Bologna and the Paris City University. He is currently a visiting fellow at the Department of History at Harvard University. His doctoral thesis analyzes the construction of economic knowledge at the World Bank in the 1960s, during the so-called Decade of Development. His research interests combine the history of international political economy, with the analysis of processes of policymaking, institution building and global governance.

Hošman accessed archives in France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, participated in work and research stays in Italy, France, Estonia, Japan, and the United States and presented his research at conferences and workshops in Europe, North America and Latin America. His latest publications include Internal Dynamics as Drivers of Change in International Organizations: The Economists' Takeover at the World Bank (Swiss Journal of Sociology, 2023) and China’s NME status at the WTO: Analysis of the Debate (Journal of International Trade Law and Policy, 2021).
