Curriculum vitae

Mareike Krautheim the founding partner of Pasel-K architects Berlin. Focusing on experimental housing typologies and construction in an international context, the office operates at the interface between architecture and urban planning. The Practice has received numerous awards for innovative housing, urban design strategies and prototypes for healthcare facilities as well as for new types of urban housing in the Netherlands.
Her work focuses on design, inner-city transformations and urban / rural planning processes, as well as the development of climate-responsive concepts that combine urban and architectural perspectives.

Mareike Krautheim was associated as Visiting Professor with Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban design RavB, Utrecht Graduate School of Visual Art and Design (maHKU) and and has also been teaching at Technical University of Berlin and Technical University of Dresden in the fields of architecture and spatial design.

Until establishing her own office in 2010, she worked as leading project architect in international architectural offices in Copenhagen, Hamburg and Rotterdam, focusing on residential construction, urban planning and concepts for urban housing.

Mareike studied Architecture at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany and at Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid and graduated in 2001 cum laude.
