Lohith Kumar Pittala (Graduate Student Member, IEEE), born in India in 1996, received his B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India, in 2017, and his M.Sc. in Electrical Energy Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2021. Following his M.Sc., he joined the Power Electronic Circuits and Photovoltaics Group at the University of Bologna as a research assistant. He then pursued his Ph.D. in Biomedical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering (power electronics) at the same university, completing it with honors (cum laude) in 2026. In 2024, he was a visiting scientist at Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. His research focuses on isolated DC/DC converters, dual active bridge topologies, active front-end rectifiers, and real-time hardware validation. He received the IEEE PELS TC1 Travel Grant, Best Speaker Award at IEEE ICDCM 2025, and Best Paper and IEEE IES SYPA Awards at IEEE PESGRE 2025.
