Giulia Bonazza ha ottenuto un Master degree in «Histoire et civilisations comparées» tra le università Alma Mater Studiorum di Bologna e l'università Paris 7 Denis-Diderot di Parigi nel 2012.

Attualmente sta lavorando alla sua seconda monografia su schiavitù e lavoro tra Mediterraneo e Atlantico
