Education
After a Master in theoretical physics at Università di Bologna in 1994, I started a PhD at Università di Pisa on the phenomenology of the strong interactions spending a good fraction of my time at CERN. I was awarded the PhD in Feb 1999 with a thesis on "Quarkonium phenomenology".
Professional experience
After receiving my PhD from the University of Pisa in 1999, I worked in several institutions in Europe and the US, first as a post-doctoral researcher and, since 2005, with a permanent position at the Centre for Cosmology, Particle Physics and Phenomenology (CP3) of the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium. Since 2018 I have also joined the Physics and Astronomy Department of the Università di Bologna.
