Scientific reaserch has a place in my hearth and mind since at high school I discovered the beauty of cells and their as complicated as perfect mechanisms. Therefore, I moved from the sunny Apulia to the foggy town Ferrara to study Biotechnology. Smoothly, after a period abroad to carry out my internship in the amazing Krakow, I got my bachelor degree and then in a short time I was in Bologna attending Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. I also spent a brief period at Universitat de Barcelona inevitably interrupted by Covid pandemic.
During both abroad experiences I had a significant opportunity for acquiring new approach to conduct experiments, consequently it was a meaningful experience as regards work and personal life.
Nowadays I am a PhD student in Biotechnological, Biocomputational, Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences at University of Bologna. My activity is focused on the investigation about the expression of cellular elements that are involved during the B19V infection to understand the basis of viral tropism and pathogenesis, which could help in developing efficient antiviral strategies that interfere with the early steps of the infection.
