Curriculum vitae

I am a cognitive psychologist using psychophysiological (EEG, ERP) and behavioural measures to investigate several aspects of perception, attention and action.

After completing a degree in Psychology at the University of Parma (2003), I obtained my PhD from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2007). My interest in EEG led me to work as a post-doctoral researcher in Prof. Eimer’s lab (Birkbeck College, London, UK) for three years on a project on crossmodal attention and multisensory integration. During my second post-doctoral appointment, I investigated the mechanisms of tactile spatial orienting and selection using psychophysiological measures in collaboration with Dr. Bettina Forster at City University (London). I became a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh (UK) in 2010, where I joined the Human Cognitive Neuroscience group and established the Cross-modal Lab.

I joined the University of Bologna as Associate Professor in General Psychology in 2020.
