LECTURING

2025:

Recombinant acoustics – sound morphology through space

In June 2025, Pase in collaboration with SaMPL - Conservatorio C. Pollini Padova, hosted a masterclass led by Cobi van Tonder, focusing on virtual acoustics and the creative use of space in sound design and composition. The workshop explored how spatial transitions, such as those created through convolution reverb, panning, and hybrid acoustic architectures, can be used to evoke movement, scale, and sonic transformation. Combining theoretical insights with hands-on experimentation, the masterclass allowed participants to approach space as a sculptural and expressive material in audio practice.

Zagreb: Multi-disciplinary Uses of Virtual Acoustics - Dr. Cobi van Tonder explored multi-disciplinary uses of virtual acoustics, focusing on cultural heritage, sonic archaeology, simulations, sound design and more.
