LCIS Presentations, and Info about Oral Exam
Corso di lingua inglese con la Professoressa Rudvin:
A coloro ai quali non fosse ancora chiaro, in accordo con l'Ufficio didattico, le presentazioni, che erano previste nel corso di lingua inglese (per sia frequentanti che non) con la Professoressa Rudvin, non sono più necessarie. Saranno valutati solo l'esame scritto (con la Rudvin) e l'esame orale (con la tutor O'Sullivan). Non ci saranno presentazioni.
Corso di esercitazioni con la tutor O'Sullivan:
Nel lettorato, le presentazioni, che erano facoltative, sono state svolte durante le esercitazioni. Il corso di esercitazioni è finito a dicembre e non si faranno più altre presentazioni, sia per frequentanti che non, in quanto erano facoltative.

LM LCIS English Oral Exam
During the English oral exam I will be evaluating your ability to express yourself in English at a C1 level. During the course, we covered the following topics:
- English as a Lingua Franca
- World Englishes
- Academic English and its characteristics
- Linguistic and Grammatical Cohesion
- Linguistic Analysis of Political Discourse
- English Language Teaching
There will be 3 questions:
- One question on English Language Teaching (students can prepare a lesson plan if they want but it is not obligatory)
- One question which the student can choose
- One question which I will choose
As mentioned in class, all the material is available on the IOL (including solutions). The dispensa is available from Ecrire. We studied only the first part of the dispensa (fino a party manifestos and immigration policy: roughly the first 22 pages)
Students who do not prepare a lesson plan will have a more generic question on the topic of English Language Teaching (e.g. how to develop lexis/grammar, or how to develop specific abilities (reading/writing/listening/speaking).
Students who choose to prepare a lesson plan should think about how they can teach lexis or grammar using a text. Or perhaps how they could develop specific abilities through activities related to a text. For reference, please look at the demo lesson titled Perfectionism that was uploaded to the IOL.
