Blanca Guiomar Bugedo Montero

Guiomar is a PhD Student in European Union Law since November 2025, for which she was awarded a full scholarship. Her research focuses on the appointment and reappointment procedures of Judges and Advocate Generals to the Court of Justice of the European Union's adherence to its own judicial independence standards.

Her interests revolve around European Union Institutional and Constitutional Law, with a special focus on judicial independence, as well as the connection between European Union law and politics.

She is also a member of the Real Colegio de España in Bologna, after being awarded the Santa Catalina Scholarship.
