Current position:

November 2020-: PhD candidate in Global Histories, Cultures and Politics at the University of Bologna, Department of History and Cultures. Research project in Contemporary history, working title: Print Cultures as Political Networks: The Circulation of Antiracist and Anticolonial Periodicals in Africa and the African Diaspora, 1910s-1930s, supervised by Prof. Paolo Capuzzo.

 

Education:

June 2023-July 2023: William P. Heidrich Research Fellow at the University of Michigan.

January 2023-February 2023: Visiting PhD at the Université Mohammed V de Rabat, Dept. of English, supervised by Prof. Nourdin Bejjit.

November 2022-December 2022: Visiting International Affiliate at the University of Cape Town, Dept. of English.

October 2021-October 2022: PhD Research Associate at the Queen Mary University of London, School of History, supervised by Dr. Leslie James.

September 2018-October 2020: MPhil in History and Oriental Studies (curriculum Global Cultures), University of Bologna.

  • Dissertation: The Hands Off Ethiopia campaign (1935-36), racial solidarities and intercolonial antifascism across South Asia and the African diaspora, World History, supervised by Prof. Paolo Capuzzo and Prof. Saverio Marchignoli. Final grade: 110/110 with honors.
