Her research has been focused on grounding of language in sensorimotor processes, as well as on language as a tool which modifies human's way to interact with the world.
Her recent work extends to the investigation of the possibilities for physical/social interactions offered by both the physical environment and the interactive context, with regard also to emotional involvement they imply - i.e. physical and social affordances.
Finally her current scientific interest includes cultural differences influencing cognitive processes. The main concern is the study of the effects of specific religious practices on emotional reactions to self-generated errors.
