Vanna Gherardi

Vanna Gherardi, graduate in Pedagogy, is Associate Professor at the Department of Education - School of Psychology and Education - University of Bologna since 2001. She conducts her research in the field of didactic methods. Research interests relate to the analysis and construction of learning contexts and teacher training at different levels of schooling. Currently she focuses her research on: school and territory
cultural heritage and social cohesion, comparative education, literacy processes, intergenerational dynamics and new media, education and spaces design, free play and aesthetic enhancement of public spaces (schools, courtyards, city parks). She is the Scientific Head of the Research Center on Active Didactics; Member of the CESE - Comparative Education Society in Europe; she is involved in national and international research projects. She is the author of numerous publications.
