Curriculum vitae

I was born in Florence (FI), on 08/04/1996.

Since Nov. 2021, I'm a PhD student in Health, Science and Technologies at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, with the project "Anatomical-based design of customized femoral prosthetic components for amputees", under the supervision of Prof. Luca Cristofolini. The aim of my project is the development of patient-specific prostheses for transfemoral amputees, improving the quality of life for the patients.

From Apr. to Oct. 2021 I won a Research Fellowship at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIN) of the University of Bologna, focusing on the analysis and development of methodologies for personalised treatments throughout osteointegration.

In Mar. 2021 I earned the Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, at the University of Bologna, with the experimental thesis entitled "An in silico method to evaluate bone remodelling after total hip arthroplasty in a six years longitudinal study" in Mechanics of Biological Tissues, under the supervised by Prof. Luca Cristofolini. My master thesis was carried out at the Institute of Biomedical and Neural Engineering of Reykjavik University (Iceland), where I completed an internship under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Gargiulo and Prof. Magnús Kjartan Gíslason.

In Oct. 2018 I earned the Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, at the University of Bologna, with a thesis entitled "Optical measurement for the non-destructive analysis of 3D alginate scaffolds", under the supervision of Prof. Emanuele Domenico Giordano and the co-supervision of Ing. Joseph Lovecchio and Ing. Marilisa Cortesi.
