Stephan Hassam received his Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Loyola Chicago in 2012. He received his Master of Science in Anthropology with a certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2017. Since then, he has been working on his PhD in History, with a focus on digital applications to the archaeology of Roman Sicily. His excavation experience includes Late Roman catacombs and a Late Roman
villa marittima. He has participated in and co-directed digitization projects at the University of South Florida, the Tampa Museum of Art, the Milwaukee Public Museum, il Museo di Aidone, il Museo di Paolo Orsi, among others. Currently he is working on archaeological investigations of the Roman villa del Tellaro and Greek city of Heloros.
