Grants and e-Scholarships to work on open citations and WikiCite
The steering committee of WikiCite is offering two categories of finantial support (grants and e-scholarships, introduced below) which support the goals of WikiCite. WikiCite is a Wikimedia initiative to develop open citations and linked bibliographic data to serve free knowledge, which has several links with the work OpenCitations is running – i.e. the independent infrastructure organization dedicated to the publication of open bibliographic and citation data managed by the Research Centre for Open Scholarly Metadata at the University of Bologna.
Application deadline: 1 October 2020
Projects completion deadline: 1 May 2021.
1. Project & Event grants
Grants between $2,000 and $10,000 (USD equivalent) available to individuals, groups, and organisations with a project of any nature that supports the goals of Wikicite. An e-scholarship provides a per-diem equivalent allowance for 1-5 people to stay at their home(s) and work for 2-4 days on a project supporting the mission of WikiCite.
