19 May resumption of Philosophy of Language LM lectures

The dates for the Philosophy of Language LM classes have finally been finalised. I have updated the syllabus with the complete schedule.

Classes will resume on Monday 19 May and will end on 30 May.

The eye surgery on May 6th went well. A 10-day recovery period is expected, and unless complications arise, classes will resume after May 16th. The updated schedule will be published shortly.

In the meantime, I encourage you to use Perusall to read the upcoming Eklund chapters, post comments, and engage in discussion. The seminars will take place as planned: if you haven’t done so yet, please enter your topic and reading in the shared document. I will arrange a short online meeting with each group before their presentation.

Further updates will follow after the medical check-up on May 15th.

Lectures in Philosophy of Language are unfortunately suspended again from 5 May until a date to be determined due to illness. I will be sure to provide an update on how they will be resumed and any changes to the syllabus as soon as I have consulted with my colleagues responsible for teaching.

Lezioni sospese per malattia

A seguito dell'operazione chirurgica all'occhi, devo stare in assoluto riposo per almeno una settimana, quindi mi trovo costretto a cancellare le lezioni di almeno questa settimana.

Sono i contatto con il mio direttore di dipartimento che sta cercando di capire come riorganizzare il calendario per recuperare tutte le lezioni. Ovviamente vi terrò aggiornati appena so qualcosa.

Nel frattempo credo sia utile comunque fare le letture su Perusall per evidenziare i punti che non capite di Sider e del primo capitolo di Eklund.

The beginning of classes in Philosophy of Language LM (28002) are postponed to Thursday, April 3 (instead of Monday, March 31).

Starting from the next exam sessions, students who register for an exam but fail to attend without providing a valid justification will be excluded from the subsequent exam session.

This measure has been implemented due to the significant number of unannounced absences during the December session. Since a limit had been set on the number of registrations, these absences deprived other students of the opportunity to take the exam. Additionally, a classroom was booked for a much longer period than necessary.

I kindly ask you to register for exam sessions only if you are certain you can attend. If you are unable to participate, please cancel your registration promptly. This will ensure a fair and efficient use of resources and opportunities for everyone.
