Sara Valentini is Associate Professor of Marketing at the School of Economics, Management and Statistics, University of Bologna, where she teaches Marketing (undergraduate degree), Social Media Marketing (Master of Science Degree), and Introduction to Statistics (Ph.D.). She has been the Italian representative executive member of European Marketing Academy (EMAC) in 2013-2016.
Her research focuses on the measurement and analysis of marketing effectiveness and customer profitability, especially in the fields of omnichannel marketing and customer relationship management. Sara's research has appeared in Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Psychology and Marketing, and Journal of the Academy of Marketing. Her research has been featured in the trade press like Advertiser, Harvard Business Review Italy, Insights from MSI, BaylorBusiness.
She holds a degree (Laurea) cum laude in Statistics and a Ph.D. in General Management, University of Bologna. She was visiting scholar (2007) at the Tuck school of Business, Dartmouth College (USA).
