Silvia Greco

Silvia Greco is currently a PhD candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Bologna. Her work focuses on local natural materials in construction as bamboo and cane (Arundo donax). She took a master degree at the University of Bologna in Architecture and Construction Engineering in 2018 with a thesis on the whole mechanical characterization of an Italian bamboo species. This research interest developed during her studies while questioning how her future professional interests could impact on a very costly sector of society. For this reason, she is also studying permaculture and furthering her knowledge in bioarchitecture, participating in several courses. Recently she moved into the rural area to start experimenting some of these techniques. Vai al Curriculum
