Sara Gallone

Sara Gallone is a PhD Student in European Union Law at the University of Bologna since November 2024. Her doctoral research, supervised by Prof. Lucia Serena Rossi and co-supervised by Prof. Federico Casolari, focuses on democracy and political disinformation in the European Union, with particular attention to the EU regulatory framework on online content moderation.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Turin (summa cum laude with honorable mention) and an International Master in European Studies – Policy Advisor and Project Consultant in Brussels. In May 2025, she was admitted to the Italian Bar. From 2022 to 2024, she served as a legal officer at the Court of Turin (Civil Section VII).

Her research interests lie in European Union constitutional and institutional law, digital regulation, freedom of expression, and the interplay between democracy, technology, and fundamental rights.
