Roberto Caterina is Associate Professor of Psychology of Perception, Psychology of Music and Psychology of Communication at the Department of Psychology, University of Bologna. He got a Ph.D. in Psychology in 1993 (University of Bologna); he is clinical psychologist and psychotherapist; he is member of AIP (Italian Association of Psychology) and of ESCOM (European Society for the Study of Cognitive aspects of Music). He published several papers on nonverbal communication, facial expression and communication of emotions in music performances and in music therapy.
