Work Experience

2021 Ph.D. Student, Agroscope, Posieux (Hauterive FR), Switzerland; Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Università di Bologna, Bologna (BO), Italy. Marie Sklodowska-Curie innovative training network - research fellowship: “What are IUGR pigs? – phenotypic and metabolic differentiation”, funded under the project Horizon 2020 MonoGutHealth - Optimal gut function in monogastric livestock.

2020-2021 Research Fellow, Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences - Università di Bologna, Bologna (BO). Research fellowship: “Study of the supply chain approaches to reduce the use of antimicrobials in the swine production system”, funded under the project Horizon 2020 ROADMAP - Rethinking Of Antimicrobial Decision-systems in the Management of Animal Production.

2018-19 Intern, Ospedale Veterinario Giuseppe Gentile, Ozzano dell’Emilia (BO). Intern student within the Neurology Department - dedicate to provide compassionate, high quality veterinary consultation for the wellness of pets and food producing animals, in regard to neurological pathologies. Activities included diagnoses and therapy of the following neurological pathologies:

  • Epilepsy,
  • intervertebral disk pathologies,
  • spinal cord pathologies,
  • neuromuscular pathologies,
  • inflammatory and infectious diseases related to CNS,

2013-17 Volunteer Assistant, Clinica Veterinaria Dott. Gianluca Polveroni, Rieti (RI). Assisting within the department of Internal Medicine, Surgery and Anesthesiology.

2016 Volunteer, Lampedusa Turtle Group, Lampedusa (AG). Volunteering within the marine turtle rescue center “Lampedusa Turtle Group”. Activities included rescuing, monitoring and applying medical treatments for the turtles which were kept under supervision in the centre; raising awareness and sensitizing tourists of the island around the subject.
