Nota biografica

Renata Tatsch Eidt is a PhD candidate at the University of Bologna, Italy, in the Future earth, climate change and societal challenges program. She is part of the Ocean Predictions and Applications division at the Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climati – CMCC. Her current research activities are on ocean modeling with interest in marine heat waves and dense water formation. Her thesis is focused on downscaling of the coastal ocean, where she is performing predictability studies for the Adriatic Sea. She is originally from Brazil, where she obtained her bachelor degree as an Oceanographer working mainly with physical oceanography and CO2 fluxes in Antarctic. During this period she also spent over a year at the University of Queensland, Australia, as an exchange student. She holds a master degree in Meteorology from the National Institute of Space Research, Brazil, where she studied the influence of extratropical oceans in extreme rainfall events over South America.
