Paolo Somigli is Associate Professor of Musicology and Music History at the Faculty of Education of the Free University of Bozen, Italy, where he teaches Musicology, music and didactics. He is a pianist (graduated in 1994 from the “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence) and musicologist (University of Florence: M.A. Music History, 1997; Rome, La Sapienza: Ph.D. in History and Analysis of Musical Cultures, with a dissertation on Ligeti).
