Focusing on the interplay between domestic-level changes and region-wide interaction, this Lecture Series provides a comprehensive analytical and theoretical survey of Iranian foreign relations in the Middle East from Antiquity until the Islamic Republic on the basis of the author's recent publication for Routledge (Iran's Regional Relations, A History from Antiquity to the Islamic Republic, 2020).

Tuesday, May 25, 11-13: Iran and the Regional Relations of the Modern Middle East. 1500-1979.
Wednesday, May 26, 13-15: Iran and the Regional Relations of the Post-1979 Middle East.
