Massimiliano David is graduated and specialized at the State University of Milan. Since 2001 he teaches Archaeology of Late Antiquity and Archaeology of Late Antiquity in Mediterranean basin in the University of Bologna and is a member of the Academic Board of the PhD in Archaeology of the University Sapienza in Rome. He has developed and directed the Mediolapis project, plan for cataloging stone inscriptions of the civic museums of Milan since I A.D. the twentieth century. Since 2007 leads Ostia Marina Project and Acheloous Project, archaeological missions of the Department of History, Culture and Civilization at the University of Bologna in ancient Ostia. He leads the Melissa and Pal-Esa projects for the study and knowledge of the Late Antique monuments of Ravenna. He is co-leader of S-APP archaeological project for the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. It has published more than 350 articles and monographs of classical and post-classical archeology. He has the honor to teach Christian Archeology (advanced course) at the Faculty of Letters of Sapienza University of Rome.
