ENGLISH FOR FASHION - WRITTEN EXAM Jan 20th
For the written exam students should study:
- Vogue On Elsa Schiaparelli;
- Reader 2021- focus on technical language of fashion:
drawings (Evening Wear and Bridal Wear 1955-59, Accessories 1970-74 and Underwear 1975-79) and 3 designers (the first 3 designers Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries Van Noten).
- "The Global ‘Wordrobe’. Ethnic Counter-Conquest in the Language of Fashion", Mariella Lorusso, ZMJ vol. 9.2, 2019 [https://zmj.unibo.it/article/view/9967]
- one film (The True Cost for attending students);
- two films (The True Cost +"Dior and I" for non-attending students)
Attending students (at least 22 hrs attendance):
a single final mark will be given based on the average of the following components:
- written questionnaire (16 questions):
- student's presentation (during lectures)
Non-attending students:
a single final mark will be given based on the average of the following components:
- Written questionnaire (31 questions).
- student's presentation (to be sent to professor 8 days before exam)

PLS NOTE: possible oral exam. Non-attending students should contact the teacher for instructions on the presentation one week before the exam.
PLS NOTE: students may refuse mark obtained only once and should write an email to inform the teacher within one day.
