Short Bio

A.Y. 1984/85 : degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Bologna University with 110/110 cum laude, 1986 : qualification at the veterinary profession, A.Y.1997/98 : PhD in “Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of Domestic Animals”.Currently full professor VET/06 Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of Animals at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences (DIMEVET) of Bologna University. Responsible for the Service of Transmissible Diseases and Veterinary Public Health and for the Fish Pathology Unit of DIMEVET. Director of the Master in Aquaculture and Fish Pathology from 2013/14 to 2015/16. President of the Italian Society of Fish Pathology from 2004 to 2010. Responsible of Research Units in several projects financed by Ministry of Health, MIUR, MiPAF and European Union (6th Framework Programme and Horizon 2020). Coauthor of over 300 scientific papers and communications on veterinary parasitology, fish pathology and parasitic zoonoses. Go to the Curriculum vitae

Office hours

Prof. Marialetizia Fioravanti receives the students every Monday morning from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at her office, located at the second floor of the Section of Transmissible Diseases and Veterinary Public Health, Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, Via Tolara di Sopra 50, Ozzano Emilia (BO). Furtheromre the teacher receives at the Degree Course in Aquaculture and Hygiene of Fish Productions in Cesenatico, via Magrini 31, in the days of classes and exams.
