Short Bio

After obtaining his bachelor's and master's degrees in Classical Philology At Università degli Studi of Milan, Marco Settecase wins a Ph.D. position at Alma Mater - Università di Bologna, where he does research on the manuscript tradition of Aelius Aristides' Sacred tales and is also employed as didactic assistant at the chair of Greek Palaeography held by Prof. G. De Gregorio.

  His research interests, which generally embrace all the aspects of Classical languages and literatures, are Imperial Greek literature (particularly Plutarch, Diogenes of Oenoanda, Aelius Aristides and Gregory of Nazianzus), textual criticism, transmission of ancient texts and Greek paleography and codicology.

  At present, Marco Settecase is attending a course of Greek paleography at Scuola Vaticana di Paleografia, Diplomatica e Archivistica and is author of several articles published on international journals.
