Curriculum vitae

Mansoureh Gholami is a Ph.D. candidate in the program of “Health, Safety and Green systems” in the agricultural engineering department at the University of Bologna. She has a bachelor's degree in architecture from the Art University of Tehran and a Master of Science degree in “Urban Planning” in the Iran University of Science and Technology. She worked as a researcher at the “sustainable and resilient city” in Tehran. There, She did research projects on zero energy buildings in an integrated urban-rural system. Specifically, her expertise is in scripting energy modeling in C# language and has a wide variety of interests in energy subjects and also in working with various software such as EnergyPlus, Grasshopper, Rhino, Envi-met, etc.

Now she is in the second year of this interdisciplinary program and her proposal is entitled” A parametric approach to achieve a modeling methodology for a net Zero-Energy Neighborhood with a minimization of GHG emission” in which she is working on finding a reliable solution to redefine the calculation and calibration of urban buildings' energy consumption on a neighborhood scale and also assessing the level of pedestrian-friendly indexes in the urban context.

Moreover, she has enrolled in some international and European projects related to her proposal and in cooperation with other research fields such as data analyzing, civil engineering, etc.
