Antonio Pasi, who worked in Ferrara in XVI century, as an architect
and geographer for Alfonso II duke of Ferrara : he was the author

The scientific activity of Laura Federzoni is
especially focused on Historical Geography and History of
Cartography. She studied some aspects of territorial organization
in the past centuries, particularly in the Po Valley. The analysis
of the cartographic production about the Este State (in Ferrara and
in Modena) from the XVI to the XIX century is another subject of
research. She has devoted a considerable research to Flemish
cartography of the XVI century and to relations between Flemish and
Italian map-makers; another research is about the cartographic
production of Marco Antonio Pasi, who worked in Ferrara in the XVI
century. She has also carefully analyzed the digitization and
digital restoration of ancient maps and their potential use.
