PhD student in Global Histories, Cultures and Politics at the University of Bologna, Department of History and Cultures (36th cycle), working under the supervision of Prof. Claudio Minca within the Geography Unit. My research interests include informal refugee mobilities, camp geographies, and the strategies, networks and economies of clandestine refugee passages along transit corridors. My PhD thesis examines the archipelago of makeshift refugee camps in the borderlands of northern Bosnia-Herzegovina and the crucial role these spaces play in facilitating and (re)producing the increasingly difficult and dangerous informal refugee passages along the Balkan Route towards the EU.
