Short Bio

Jenna Randolph is a doctoral student on the Impact HAU research team in the Department of Cultural Heritage at the University of Bologna. Her research focuses broadly on the financialization of global health. Jenna is conducting a case study on the COVID-19 response by the World Bank Group in Sénégal through a combination of financial data analysis and ethnographic research. 

Jenna has conducted fieldwork in Africa, Latin America, and Western Europe. She most recently conducted fieldwork in the Kolda region of Senegal where she primarily focused on health system strengthening efforts for infectious disease, reproductive health, and nutrition. Jenna's primary research interests include the intersectionalities amongst topics of economic anthropology, medical anthropology, geopolitical studies, zoonotic disease, and One Health.
