Javier Pérez Puchalt

Javier Pérez Puchalt is a Spanish architect and researcher who graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne in Switzerland (EPFL). He completed one-year of exchange at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and took part in numerous workshops and research projects, in Chile, Switzerland or The Netherlands. He earned his M.Sc. in 2017, receiving the “Prix Fondation Arditi 2017” in Architecture.

Currently he is a PhD fellow at the Department of Architecture at the University of Bologna. He focuses on Theory of Architecture, composition and research through design, with an emphasis on the transmission and dissemination of knowledge. His current research has a special interest in the forms and theories of Architecture, and its relationship with the European City, understood as a given reality.
