Metamorphoses of political language in modern Slovakia

Lectures will be held in English. Both lectures will be livestreamed also via MS TEAMS: all interested members of academia are encouraged to connect online from Virtuale: 69543 Lingua e Cultura Slovacca, lezioni online. The event is organized within the 100 Years of Slovak-Italian Political Relations cycle, under the auspices of the Chair of Slovak Language and Culture of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic at the University of Bologna, Forlì and Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Matej Bel University at Banská Bystrica. Lectures are outputs of the following projects: APVV-19-0358 History of the Hlinka's Slovak People's Party in Domestic and European Dimensions (1905 – 1945), APVV-20-0034 “This is not true, but it could be”: Conspiracy theories and hoaxes in the modern development of Slovakia in the European context and VEGA 1/0185/20 Myth and Cult of the Slovak State in Historical and Social Discourse after 1945 (Birth, Development Tendencies, and Reflections in Political Culture), supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
