Short Bio

A restorer and conservator of cultural heritage and a Ph.D. student and representative in the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Materials Engineering, at the University of Bologna with the supervision of prof. Enrico Sassoni. From February to July 2023 she spent 6 month at the University of California in Los Angeles, with a program in collaboration with the Getty Conservation Institute, with prof. Ioanna Kakoulli supervision.

Ugolotti’s PhD research project aims to study the influence of different conditions of the substrate to the efficacy and durability of the DAP treatment, in particular for supports with presence of salts or pigments.

In 2021/2022 she was didactic tutor for the course of "Chimica e Tecnologia dei Materiali" for the degree course in Construction Engineering (holder ing. Alberto Fregni).

Greta graduated in May 2020 with honors in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at Bologna University, with an experimental thesis about eco-sustainable and innovative products for the restoration of a marble sarcophagus, ithe UNESCO site of San Vitale in Ravenna.
