Giovanni is Fellow at the Robert Schuman Institute for European Affairs of the University of Luxembourg. He has been, until December 2018, Postdoc Researcher (Research Associate) in European Law at the University of Luxembourg. He holds a Ph.D. in European Law and is Docteur en Droit Public at the Universities of Bologna and Strasbourg (en cotutelle). Giovanni is adjunct professor of European Union Internal Market Legislation at the Rimini Campus of the University of Bologna and, since 2012, holder of the module on "The multi-level protection of Fundamental Rights in Europe" in the European Union course of prof. Marco Lombardo.He has been Blue Book Trainee at the Legal Service of the European Commission, Team Justice and Home Affairs. He graduated in 2011 from the University of Bologna (summa cum laude) and gained an LLM in European Law from King's College London in 2012. He was awarded a distinction in the dissertation module. Giovanni participated as panel speaker more than 10 international conferences. In 2013 he won the Henri Rieben Scholarship of the Jean Monnet Foundation. Since March 2015 Giovanni is admitted to the Bar.
