Curriculum vitae

PhD Student at DEI (ET-IT), University of Bologna, from 01/11/2019. His research field is based on the study of the wireless communications at THz and the possible advantages that such range of frequencies can bring to the future Mobile Radio Networks architectures (6G) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems, in terms of performance and offered services. 


He received the Bachelor Degree (summa cum laude) in Ingegneria Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 06/10/2017 .

He received the Master Degree (summa cum laude) in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 03/10/2019.

Teaching activities

He is teaching tutor at the University of Bologna for the course of Internet of Things T. Course Teacher: Prof. Roberto Verdone

He has been teaching tutor at the University of Bologna in the academic year 2019/2020 for the course of Wireless Sensor Networks M (ING-INF/03), where he helps in laboratory activities and IoT devices configuration with protocols IEEE 802.15.4 and Zigbee. Course Teacher: Prof. Chiara Buratti

Research activities

From 2018 to 2020 he has been a research collaborator for the study, design and realization of an IIoT system whose purpose was the identification, monitoring and tracking of LoRa devices operating at 2,4 GHz; the latters were mounted onto an automatic machine (Scientific manager: Prof. Roberto Verdone). This project has lead to a COST submission (CA15104 IRACON 10th MC and Technical Meeting) discussed in Oulu, Finland, in May 2019.

He is now a PhD student at the University of Bologna.


2nd best overall IoT project using LoRa technology in the Long Range IoT Hackathon context, an event organized at the University of Bologna in May 2018.

2nd best overall IoT project using NB-IoT technology in the 10th International UBI Summer School 2019 context, an event organized at the University of Oulu (Finland) in June 2019.

Other activities

In the academic year 2017-2018 he has joined the Unibo Motorsport project regarding an electric racing motorcycle as a firmware developer for sensors and telemetry. 

He has perfomed a 6 months uncredit internship for thesis at Laboratori Guglielmo Marconi S.p.A from February to July 2017. The activity has been the analysis and development of wireless systems and Passive Optical Networks, with a particular focus to Radio Over Fiber technology.

In October 2020 he has concluded a collaboration with Huawei Technologies France aimed at estimating the performance of a new multiplexing scheme which seems to be more suitable than OFDM at THz frequencies.
