Main research interests:

  • Pathophysiology and neurocognitive development of preterm-born infants
  • Neonatal infections
  • Neonatal gastroenterology and nutrition
  • Vaccines

 

Publications: Prof. Faldella is author/coauthor of more than 400 publications on scientific journals, chapters on books, meeting proceedings of international and national conferences.

Research Grants: for the project “Efficacy and safety of continuous infusion of fentanyl for pain control in preterm newborns on mechanical ventilation”, he has received a AIFA grant of 200.000. euro.

Prof. Faldella is also a member of multiple national scientific societies and editor of several scientific journals.
