Giacomo Bergonzoni is a licensed Engineer specialized in BIM and sustainable design, currently working as BIM Manager at Open Project, an architecture and engineering firm based in Bologna Italy with an office in Abu Dhabi UAE. He is part of the BIM Foundation research group, founded at the University of Bologna by Professor Simone Garagnani. Giacomo started his carreer at CIMS lab Ottawa, Canada under Professor Stephen Fai and later he became a certified Passive House Designer and BIM Coordinator in several prefab timber Passive House projects. Nowadays he implements and manages state of the art BIM in large and small scale projects. Giacomo promotes BIM speaking at several events and conferences his paper on “Building Information Modeling BIM for LEED® IEQ category prerequisites and credits calculations” was published at ECPPM2016, he is also collaborating to draft the Italian BIM standards and teaching Revit at several training institutes.
